To keep this community promotion running we rely on contributions from local businesses, organizations, and individuals for funding. The money donated goes primarily to pay for purchasing ad space while a smaller amount goes to the organizer to help with operating costs, ad expansion, payment to artists and graphic designers etc.
There are three different ways to contribute: Cherokee Business Participation, Cherokee Resident Participation, and non-Cherokee donation.
| Cherokee Business:
A monthly contribution (determined by the cost of ads and organizing divided by the number of participating businesses minus any additional or external contribution).
Further acknowledgment and identification on any additional promotion that is business-specific (maps, directions, blogs, etc.) |
Cherokee Resident Participation:
A monthly contribution of at least 20 dollars, and up to 50. In return, participating residents are identified and thanked on a special section of the website: Cherokee Residents that Rock. A picture may be submitted along with name and an optional quote. |
Non-Cherokee donation:
A monthly contribution of 50-100 dollars for businesses, and between 20-50 for individuals or charitable organizations/non-profits. In return, business’ and organization’s websites are linked to on our “Friends of Cherokee” page’s business section with additional basic information (directions, phone number, type of business and organization). Non-Cherokee residents are identified and thanked in the residents section of the “Friends of Cherokee” page. A picture may be submitted along with name and an optional quote. |
